1. Overview
SideSync makes it easy to use your smartphone by connecting it to your PC with a USB cable or the sameAP.
- Keyboard/Mouse Sharing
You can use your smartphone through the keyboard and mouse of your PC instead of the touch keyboard of your smartphone.

You can use various apps on your smartphone from the PC screen.

2. Installing
SideSync works only on PCs and smartphones made by Samsung. (Supported Devices)
Please install the SideSync program on your PC (it is preloaded in some models). On your smartphone, download two apps (SideSync and Phone Screen Sharing) from Samsung Apps and install them.

2.1 Installing SideSync on Your PC
If the SideSync is not installed already, use SW Update to install it. Even if it is already installed, you can use SW Update to update it to the latest version.
- Run SW Update.
- Search for SideSync with keywords and click the Install button to install it.
- Click the ‘Update’ menu on the left of SW Update to see if the latest version of SideSync is available.

2.2 Installing the Smartphone App
2.2.1 Installing through PC
To install the smartphone app, you need a Samsung account (email and password).

The smartphone app is registered on Samsung Apps. Select the links below to install the program on your smartphone directly.
Click the ‘Send to Device’ button on the app details screen to install the app on your smartphone.

- Run 'Samsung Apps' on your smartphone.
- Search for 'SideSync' with keywords to select it.
- Click the ‘Download’ button on the app details screen to install the app.
- Search for 'Phone Screen Sharing' with keywords to install it.

3. Using SideSync
3.1 Connecting
3.1.1 Connecting Your PC and Smartphone with USB
- Connect your smartphone to your PC with a USB cable.
- You cannot use Keyboard/Mouse Sharing and Phone Screen Sharing at the same time. Please select the necessary one and use it.
3.1.2 Connecting Your PC and Smartphone through Wi-Fi
- Select AP connection as the network settings for your PC so that you can use the internet through AP.
- Connect your smartphone through the same AP.
3.2 Using Your Smartphone with Keyboard/Mouse
3.2.1 Running the SideSync App on Your Smartphone

- Click the SideSync icon in your phone to run the app.
(The first time you run the app, the message below might pop up. Click the ‘OK’ button to put a checkmark in USB debugging.)

- Click the ‘Start’ button at the bottom of the app to run it.

3.2.2 Running SideSync on Your PC
- Click the SideSync icon in your PC to run the program.
- If your smartphone is connected through a USB, connection to the smartphone is completed.
- If your smartphone is connected through Wi-Fi, proceed with the Scan step. If a smartphone is detected in the same AP during scanning, its model name appears on the PC SideSync list. Select the smartphone to connect your PC and the smartphone through Wi-Fi.
- If the smartphone is connected through both a USB and Wi-Fi, select the desired method.
- Click the Keyboard/Mouse Sharing button to enable the feature.
- If the ‘connection notice’ message appears at the top of the PC, your PC and smartphone are connected. You can now use your smartphone more conveniently with the keyboard and mouse of your PC.

3.3 Using Your Smartphone on PC Monitor
3.3.1 Running the Phone Screen Sharing App on Your Smartphone

- Click the Phone Screen Sharing icon in your smartphone to run the app.
- Click the ‘Start’ button.
(The first time you run the app, the Terms of Agreement and the screen for checking USBdebugging might appear. According to the guide, put a checkmark in USB debugging.)

- The screen of your smartphone appears on the PC monitor and you can use all features conveniently.
3.3.2 Running SideSync on Your PC
- Click the SideSync icon in your PC to run the program.
- If your smartphone is connected through a USB, connection to the smartphone is completed.
- If your smartphone is connected through Wi-Fi, proceed with the Scan step. If a smartphone is detected in the same AP during scanning, its model name appears on the PC SideSync list. Select the smartphone to connect your PC and the phone through Wi-Fi.
- If the smartphone is connected through both a USB and Wi-Fi, select the desired method.
- Click the Phone Screen Sharing button to enable the feature.
- The screen of your smartphone appears on the PC monitor and you can use all features conveniently.

3.4 Setting Up
3.4.1 Setting up Your PC
Click the Settings button in the top right of the SideSync program in your PC.
- You can select features to run every time you connect your PC through a USB or Wi-Fi.
- Select Smartphone Location: You can use the mouse of your PC to select the location of the smartphone to use (up/down/left/right).
3.4.2 Setting up Your Smartphone
Run the SideSync app in your smartphone. Click the Menu button in your smartphone to click the Settings feature.
- Set Up Mouse Button Feature: You can set up the shortcut feature for the wheel button and the right-click button of the mouse.
- You can adjust the speed of the cursor or use keyboard buttons as shortcut keys.
4. Additional Features
4.1 Auto Backup (This feature is available only in the previous models than Galaxy Note III.)
You can automatically back up files on your smartphone to a PC with Kies installed on it.

- In the ‘Settings’ window of the PC program, put a checkmark in 'Automatically run Auto Backup when a USB is connected’.
(If this feature is not activated, run Kies to update it to the latest version.)

4.2 Sending Files (PC → Smartphone)
- On your PC, click the file you want to send.
- While holding down the left mouse button, drag it to the smartphone screen (drag & drop).
- When the cursor appears on the smartphone screen, release the left mouse button.
- The file will be saved in the following folder of your smartphone.

4.3 Sending Files (Smartphone → PC)
- Run the ‘My Files’ app on the smartphone.
- Select a file and select the Share menu at the top.
- In the Share pop-up, select 'SideSync'.
- When the window for selecting a folder appears on the PC screen, select a folder.
- The file will be saved in the selected folder in the PC.

4.4 Using Function Keys.
- You can use the F1 ~ F12 keys, Mouse Wheel, Right-Click in the SideSync.( Setting is available)
but it can't work at some application in connected device.
