RageBreak To Jailbreak iOS 7
While we all wait for the new iOS 7 untethered jailbreak to be completed and released, those of you with an iPhone 4 might be interested in this. A couple of days ago, a jailbreak tool called RageBreak surfaced on the internet to jailbreak iOS 7.0.4 (or any full version of iOS 7).

The jailbreak will only work on the iPhone 4, GSM or CDMA models and the reason for that is the way it has been built. RageBreak uses the Limera1n exploit that was discovered by Geohot in 2010. This was used in earlier versions of jailbreaks on older models and is a hardware level exploit. Therefore, it will never work on anything other than the iPhone 4.
RageBreak is based on Opensn0w, the jailbreak tool that is currently under development by Winocm and iH8Sn0w. This tool is for iOS 6.1.3/4 and RageBreak merely gives it a boost to make it work on iOS 7+. Don’t expect anything new from it and be aware that it is a tethered jailbreak only.
For those that don’t know what that is, you will need to tether your iPhone 4 to your PC and boot it up using RageBreak every time you need to reboot. One other thing potential users should be aware of is that RageBreak is a little buggy and users may experience crashing issues. However, this hasn’t been the case for everyone who has used it so far.

RageBreak will only work with Mac OS X at the moment, it’s not known if a Windows version will be available in the future. Although the jailbreak does install Cydia onto your iPhone 4, it is not the official version, only a modified one and you will find that very few apps will actually work. This is because most have not yet been updated to work with iOS 7+.
